What we collect, why, and what we do not do. Short, because we collect very little.
Draft, awaiting legal review. This describes how the shop actually works today and is written in good faith, but it has not been checked by anyone qualified in Ghanaian consumer or data protection law. It should be before the shop starts taking payment.
What we collect
When you place an order: your name, email, phone number and delivery address. We need these to deliver to you and to talk to you about your order.
When you browse: which pages were visited and in what order, tied to a random identifier stored in your browser. This is first party, meaning it stays with us.
What we do not collect
We do not store your IP address or your browser's user agent. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers or social media pixels. We never see or store your card or mobile money details; those go directly to the payment provider.
Marketing
We only send marketing to people who have agreed to receive it. Agreeing is a separate, deliberate act, never a pre-ticked box or a consequence of placing an order. You can tell us to stop at any time and we will.
Who else sees it
Our payment provider, so you can pay. Whoever delivers your order, so it reaches you. Our hosting and database providers, who store the data on our behalf. Nobody else, and we do not sell data to anyone.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as we are required to keep business records. You can ask us to delete anything we are not obliged to keep.
Your rights
Under Ghana's Data Protection Act 2012 you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to hello@efeorganics.com and we will respond.
Our registration with the Data Protection Commission is in progress.
